New York was overtaken by London for FinTech investment deals, according to new research based on Pitchbook data released yesterday by London Partners, and Innovate Finance.
Reports were based on the VC-led investment trends so far in 2019 that included comparison of countries and cities in terms of deal value, deal count & sources of investment.
London has always been a well-connected financial eco-system but this year has seen some record investment levels in the UK. 114 investments were attracted which billed for a total value of $2bn in the first 8 months of 2019 alone, followed by New York with 101 at the second spot.
